Not to be confused with ionised silver. Ionised silver can combine with other ions to form a more complex molecule. For example silver ions combine with chloride ions to form silver chloride. A simple test is to take table salt, (NaCl – sodium chloride) and combine it with so-called colloidal silver. If it goes milky, you have ionised and not colloidal silver.
